The benefits of using the camera inspection
system us that we can pinpoint the exact point in which the
problem is and in doing so the repairs to the damage area are
localized minimising the damage to the surrounding environment. A
good example of this is a job we had at a shopping complex car park
under which a house drain ran. The drain had been cleared countless
times before. We were called and cleared the drain but didn’t stop
there, we used the camera and inspected to see what the cause of
the blockage was and found a star picket that was used for formwork
had been driving straight through the pipe. But we found more than
that, when an electrical conduit had been run through the car park
they had inadvertently damaged the top of the sewer pipe and dirt
and rocks were entering the pipe. No-one would ever have known this
without the visual inspection. Going on from that the owner of the
complex took the matter to the electrical contractor and
they had to pay for the repairs to the pipe and restoration
of the bitumen.
